Entrance to the Harris County Jury Assembly Room. The new Harris County Jury Plaza above ground leads to the new Jury Assembly Rooms below ground. The County and the Architect wanted the building to be filled with natural light. They wanted the entire glass structure building to be emblematic of the “transparency of the judicial system”. To compliment the glass walls interior and exterior, they had Masonry & Glass Systems install a large section of glass flooring to be the first special enhancement you see as you enter the building. Not only is the glass flooring beautiful to behold, it allows ample natural light into the below ground Jury Assembly Rooms.
This glass block shower photo library shows the base before the glass block walls, during construction, and the finished project. The glass block portion of the shower took 2 days to erect on has 162 glass block in it. The pattern is Decora with white mortar. The walls are 6. 8″ tall. The inside of the shower has a bench and there is no need for a shower door. Masonry & Glass Systems helped to design this doorless shower, provided the material and erected the glass block walls.
